Another day in PARADISE!

Today it is not yet 9 am and I can only be happy that yesterday is over. I can't say for certain why though. It was just one of those days that you want to end. I was such a grump. Who knows why...it really was a good day. We even went to dinner and I had a real margarita at this new tex-mex place. By US standards it wasn't great, but it is the only thing like it here..so we will go back.
Last night the neighbor spent the night with Carrie. I was not really enthusiastic about this since I was in a bad mood, but they were very good and ended up watching a movie with KYLE! So, from 8 pm on the 3 of them were upstairs. Then Collin fell asleep early. AT 7:30!
It was amazing to have that quiet time with Kevin last night. Can't say that we even talked too much, since he was doing some work stuff. But just sitting quietly in the same room with him helped me to recharge.
He did ask me if I had "taken on too much" with a new puppy. I just laughed...3 kids 2 dogs, turtle, 2 hamsters (possibly pregnant hamster)...nah, the dog is just one more thing...I think I might have passed "too much" quite some time ago. But, we are all happy healthy and thriving, so it must be working.

I took Sakura for a run yesterday and had to stop and poop scoop....ewww. But then we ran a quick loop for a short 2 mile run. Wish I had more in me though. I really want to run the base 1/2 or whole marathon in the spring. Just not to sure I am a natural runner...always seems so hard when I am doing it. I think today it is Jenny's turn to go. Kevin has leash trained her, but I don't know if she will run well. Only time will tell.

Missing everyone...Maybe someone is actually reading this!!!

The day after Christmas

Well, as many of you would suspect the dog we have been pet sitting has taken up residence here....We really enjoy her. Sakura is in love with her. They play really hard and sleep really well. They are both big lovable fur balls. She has been named Jenny...and Kyle provided the middle name Diamond since she is "as pretty and beautiful as a diamond". So, Jenny Diamond (sound like a porn name to you too?) is now ours!

The kids spent most of the day playing with the many toys they were blessed with. It is raining and calling for snow by weeks end, so we have been in the cave...uh house all day.

I am trying to get some pics together from Christmas to post on here...hopefully it will go smoothly!

Overall, life is good. We are blessed and the yard is a muddy dog toilet! Love you all!

Saturday, December 23

We are baby sitting a Bernese Mountain dog. She is only about 6 months old and larger than our Golden REt. She is so amazing. We would live to have her. We took the dogs and all three kids out for a road trip today. We were trying to find a nice little spot to hike on a local mountain, but couldn't seem to find the place! We ended up at the beach. Definitely not like the beaches we are used to.
Sakura (our Golden Ret. ) couldn't stay out of the water. IT was really cold, but she kept running and diving. I am sure if we were hunters that she would love to duck hunt and retrieve. The Bernese wouldn't get near the water. She was quite afraid of it. We had a nice time though.

The kids can't wait to get the presents under the tree...everyday they are shaking and guessing what might be there!!!!

Merry Christmas!

Thursday: Fun Run

Well, here we go, a place to write about what is up with us....

Today we ran in the annual Jingle Bell Jog. It was just a little fun run. Everyone dresses in Christmas/Holiday costumes and runs a little 1.2 K circle. Then they serve lunch and have drawings for prizes.

The kids looked really cute dressed as ELVES! Even Collin was all decked out. Carrie ran the whole thing! I was so proud. We even finished before the large PT troops.

Kevin got home tonight and will have a long weekend for the holiday.

I hope Santa is good to everyone!!!

Merry Christmas
